When we dream of a perfect world, it always includes children living out their childhood free from fear, exploitation or abuse. For a number of reasons children often become the innocent victims of the worst of humanity. We all sense the injustice, feel the compassion and want to be involved, but often simply don't know how.

Riverview Children's Foundation exists to make a real difference in these young and desperate lives. We do this by partnering with best practice organisations that are giving special attention to the most vulnerable children.

Thousands of dedicated people are providing shelter and care for orphans, protection for children who have been abused or trafficked, support for children affected by HIV/AIDS, and education and training for street kids who have had few options other than selling their bodies.

The Foundation's mission is to reduce the suffering of children by supporting the work of these organisations. We see children in crisis being rescued, protected and empowered to live out their lives richly and where possible, contribute into their own communities and cultures.

We are currently partnering with 15 organisations in 7 countries including Cambodia, Thailand, Rwanda, Kenya, Ukraine, Bali and East Timor. Through the support of generous people, the lives of children who would otherwise be trapped in desperate and hopeless situations are being changed.

IMPACT TRIPS

There is nothing as impacting as seeing the work firsthand, meeting the children, hearing the stories, and giving your time and skills to serve these incredible projects.

The Foundation organises annual Impact trips to the countries where we have involvement. The purpose of the trips is to provide a link between the projects the Foundation is partnering with and people who wish to understand and respond to the needs of the children. These short-term, self-funded trips are incredibly impacting, not only for the children and workers in the projects, but also for the people who go.

FIELD TRIPS

Specific Field trips are also conducted as needs are identified within the projects, giving the relevant professionals and tradespeople an opportunity to volunteer their time in a fantastic labour of love.
