crisis relief
In the Old Testament, additional offerings were received to fund various needs, based on extraordinary circumstances. At times, we may become aware of such crisis situations, such as the Tsunami Disaster of Boxing Day 2004, in which we were able to assist a number of individuals and organisations doing essential relief work.
From time to time, the Church will look at donating funds towards other large scale crises for humanitarian purposes. In such cases, special offerings may be taken and/or funds may be drawn from the Riverview Trust to put towards these needs.
