community
Community is one of the essential needs that we all have. It is the place where people are known and find support in their everyday life. There are a number of ways that a person can find community at Riverview. For more information on getting 'plugged in' to the Riverview community, please follow the links or come and talk to us in The Lounge after any of our weekend services.

joining a connect group
Your first step in joining a Connect Group is to attend a Connect Mix. The Mix is a gathering of people who want to find connection at Riverview through the pathway of Connect Groups.
During the Mix you will meet people and leaders in the context of a temporary Connect Group; from this it is hoped that will be able to discover shared interests and develop friendships that may lead to a more permanent Connect Group that you can join.
The Connect Mix happens monthly at the Burswood campus and at the other Riverview campuses as numbers demand.
If you would like to attend out next Connect Mix.
becoming a connect group leader
Being part of a growing church means that there is always a need for more Connect Group Leaders.
A Riverview Connect Group Leader is responsible for the people, within their group, being supported and connected to Riverview and God. This does not mean that the Leader is providing for every individual need but ensuring that people know the options for access and care.
The minimum requirement for a Connect Group Leader:
- A recommendation from an existing Connect Group Leader, Zone pastor or referee from previous Church minister.
- They are a Partner of Riverview Church.
- That they have completed the 4-week Connect Group Leaders Training Course.
