Dear friend

Thank you so much for your interest in being part of this community of faith known as Riverview Church.

We believe with passion and conviction that God has called us to a mission - to lead people to Christ and build them into a worshipping community. Mission is the main thing - it is the heart of our church; it is the core reason for why we exist; it guides what we do and why we do it and we believe it is worth our time and our talents.

The wonderful result of working to achieve our mission day by day is that it leads us toward what we believe God has given us as the vision for our church. Vision is what we want our church to look like and feel like as a result of fulfilling our mission - it is a picture of the future that produces passion in us now - and we paint this picture throughout this handbook. You'll see our vision articulated in our beliefs, our distinctives, our core values, our expectations of partners.

To keep us all heading in the same direction, this handbook makes clear what it means to be part of this church. Although we are all wired differently and represent a kaleidoscope of personalities and abilities, partners of Riverview Church face the same direction - committed to our mission and united by our vision.

what is partnership?

Partnership is the first step for an individual or family who would like to find community and connection at Riverview Church. We believe the concept of Partnership is biblical, and throughout the Bible, Christians clearly identified themselves with a specific local body and were challenged to become devoted participants.

Partners of Riverview Church have decided that they share a commitment to the biblical foundations of the Church and the church's values and mission, and desire to partner in the work, to form the ‘committed core’ of Riverview Church.

We have a Riverview Church Partnership Handbook available upon request to any person or family interested in Partnering with us.

The handbook is available from The Lounge after any weekend service.

This handbook documents the Mission, Core Values, Distinctives and structure of Riverview Church and will help you understand what it means to be part of the team at Riverview Church.

partnership nights

Partnership Nights are open to anyone and provide the unique opportunity to hear the heart and vision of our Church from the Leadership Team in an intimate setting. The nights provide information about partnership, volunteering and other opportunities to get connected within our Church.

Partnership Nights happen monthly at the Burswood campus, and at Joondalup and Cockburn Central campuses as numbers demand.
