Kidz Church Live

KidzChurch Live is the children's ministry of Riverview Church in Perth. Our goal is to lead children to Christ, building them into a worshipping community so that they can go out and influence their world and lead others to Christ.

KidzChurch Live provides a Bible-based curriculum to teach our children about God and what it means to have a relationship with Him. Through great games, skits, awesome puppets and fantastic praise and worship we bring a message of hope to the next generation.

nursery (2 months - walking)

It is important that mums and dads are able to relax and enjoy the service. It is just as important that our babies between 2 months and when they're walking, enjoy their time with us. We see each of our babies as unique, precious individuals and your baby will be looked after with the best of care and lots of cuddles. The playing of praise and worship music gives a settled and peaceful atmosphere. We have the facilities to warm bottles and feed your child a snack during the service, and will observe the routine you have set for your baby as closely as possible. Should we feel that your child needs a personal touch from you, we will contact you via the vibrating pager that is supplied on check-in.

toddlers (walking - 3 yrs)

Our Toddlers programme provides a friendly, encouraging and safe environment in which the children can enjoy learning about God. Each service involves lots of fun, free play, snack time, a mat time during which we have praise and worship with musical instruments, story time, and prayer. Our wonderful team of volunteers have a passion for kids and a heart to teach each child how wonderful God is and how much He loves them.

little peoples (3 - kindy)

Our Little Peoples programme is designed for children age from 3 to preschool and is presented in a safe, friendly and enjoyable environment. It is a fun and interactive program, which is biblically based, that teaches the children about God, how much He loves them and how they can build a relationship with Him. The leaders who run this programme all love young children and are aware that children learn in different ways so provide teaching through stories, drama, puppets, memory verse games and small group activities. Other parts of the programme include free-play time, praise and worship using musical instruments, craft activities and prayer time. Come and join the fun soon!

kidz inc (pre primary - year 1)

Our Kidz Inc programme is for our Pre Primary to Year 1 children. It is an interactive programme with heaps of fun. Our committed team of volunteers provide lessons from The Bible in creative ways, using stories, drama, puppets, games and small group activities, teaching the children about God and what it means to have a relationship with Him. Come and join in the fun!!

powerzone (years 2 - 5)

Our powerzone runs an energetic, fun, biblically based programme for children from Year 2 - Year 5. Each month we cover a different theme that teaches the children about God. Our leaders, both adults and teens, are enthusiastic and passionate about passing on their love for God to the children and practical ways on how to live the Christian life well. The programme is dynamic, fun and interactive with a small group component that provides for each age level's needs. The presence of God is very evident as our kids take part in praise and worship and we build into the children's lives. Come and see us soon. We look forward to meeting you.

stomping ground (year 6 and 7)

A Stomping Ground is a child's home turf, where they can be themselves. It is our aim in this programme to have all those involved feeling at home and a part of what’s happening, able to share with others and learn about what a relationship with God is in very practical and relevant ways. What are your session times?
KidzChurch Live runs concurrent with three of Riverview Burswood's services, at 6pm on Saturdays, 9.00am and 11.15am on Sundays, as well as the 10am Joondalup service and 9am and 11.15am at the Cockburn Central Campus.

How do I register my children?
Register your children at the KidzChurch Live Info Desk and collect your KidzChurch Live ID card that you will use to admit your children into the rooms and collect them after the service.

When do you open KidzChurch?
All of the children's rooms open 10 minutes before the adult service starts, so come early and get your children booked in ahead of time.

Is there a cost involved?
No, KidzChurch Live is a free service.

Can I stay with my child in the programme?
Parents are always welcome to join us in the programme, however we encourage you to go and enjoy the adult service when your child is settled.

Do I need to be on a volunteer roster?
This is not a requirement; however if you would like to help out, please talk to one of our leaders at the KidzChurch Live Info Desk.

What sort of screening do you do with your leaders?
We regard the safety of our children with the utmost regard. All leaders must complete an application form. Their references and background are then checked to ensure they are suitable to be working with children. Applicants are required to obtain a Police Check and a Working with Children Check. Our leaders also receive ongoing training in relation to safety procedures concerning children.

What if I prefer to keep my children with me?

If you would prefer to keep your children with you we provide:

  • Parent's room facilities (including a live screen of the service in progress) at the Burswood and Joondalup campuses.
  • Mother's rooms for more discreet feeding, at the Burswood and Cockburn Central campuses.
  • Designated seating for easy access in and out of the auditorium at all campuses.

For more information about these facilities, please approach a Service Team person who will be able to assist you.

We advise parents to ensure you supervise your children when they are not in one of our children's programmes.
