Is anyone feeling a little wiser after last month’s theme, The Sound of Wisdom?  .   It was a great month but I’m really looking forward to this coming month, Praygrance.  I know I speak for myself when I say that I could do with a bit of nudge in this area.  Why the simple task of talking to God can become so hard I’ll never understand…

So let’s take a look at what the month of April is going to look like around Cockburn…

We are starting our very first Connect Group Leaders Training……at last!  Our first course will kick off at 7pm on Thursday the 8th May and will run for 4 weeks.  As this is the same time as Accelerate we will be meeting upstairs in the Primary Zone.  If you would like to start a Connect Group or if you are currently running a Connect Group and would like to brush up on your leadership skills then we would love to have you.  If you would like to register or if you have any questions about the course then please email me at dalem@riverviewchurch.com.au.

We will be running a Connect Mix after the service on the 20th April up in the Primary Zone area.  If you are a leader who has some room in your group for some more like-minded souls, or if you are just looking to get connected into a group then you need to be at the Mix.  A Connect Mix is a brilliant way to get connected into a group that fits you and it’s a great way to find people that fit your group.  Please email Hilary if you are keen to come.  We would love to have as many of you there as possible and lunch will be provided.  Please register with Hilary at hillary.elliott@riverviewchurch.com.au.

As we are focusing on Prayer this month then why not come to our Wednesday morning prayer meeting.  It is a brilliant way to start the day.  You can come for the whole hour or for 10 minutes, you can come at 7:30am or 7:45am or 8am or whenever suits.  We’d love to have you there.

We are hoping to have the Youth Bus up and running from the Cockburn Campus starting the 9th May.  Some of our awesome Youth Leaders have volunteered to ride on the bus and help create a great environment for our Cockburn Youth.  If you would like to register your kids for the bus then please send me an email.

We have Sunday Sizzle, Sunday Sundae and now it’s time for Sunday Subway.   Stay tuned for more info soon.

Our next baby dedication will be happening during our 10am service on the 27th April.  If you have a child or children that you would like to get dedicated then please register at the Info Desk or drop me an email.

In the coming months we will be doing a number of improvements to our café and outside area to create another place for us all to hang out before and after the service.

Our sincerest condolences to Judy Rycroft on the death of her father and her sister-in-law.   Our hearts and our prayers are with you and your family during this extremely difficult time.

Also, our warmest congratulations Jason and Jess Cargill on the birth of their beautiful baby girl, Isabella.
