Hands up who enjoyed last month’s theme “Jesus – Light of the World”? It was a brilliant month of teaching as I’m sure this month will be with “Brave – Overcoming Giants”. Hands up who doesn’t have a giant or two that could do with some overcoming? So make sure this month you come expectant and ready to slay some giants.

Have you considered Volunteering in KidzChurch but have been turned off because the fortnightly roster will mean you’ll miss out on Big Church? Well we have a solution for you. When we go to 2 services in October you will be able to serve at one service and attend the other. For example, 9am on the KidzChurch roster and then 11:15am at the Big Church with family and friends.
So if you have been putting off God's tug towards Kids Ministry, please consider it. There is no better way to serve God than to be able to make a difference in his kid’s lives. > Riverview Marketing focus group
We are looking for a couple of people over 40 married if possible, have been attending riverview for at least a year or more, partner of the church, who are enjoying having a critical eyes on thing and willing to give constructive feedback. I don't really know how you could word it . Maybe if you can focus on 'someone who is enjoying giving feedback’ on all things Riverview across all campuses and the Riverview group. We are meeting fortnightly on Tuesday nights. Our next meeting is next Tuesday the 5th of August 7pm, if you would like more info contact Elisabeth Rosinel on 0437570706.

Toby Clark and a bunch of his mates are going to be attempting to set a new Guinness World Record in October or November this year as a fundraiser for the Riverview Children’s Foundation. He has received official permission from the Guinness World Record people in London to attempt the world record for pushing a car. Toby plans to use a team of 10 people to push a car 150km. He is currently getting fundraising (both individual as well as corporate sponsorship) and also needs a few more people to push the car! So keep an eye out for him pushing a car around the streets getting fit. If you’d like to give Toby a push either financially or physically let him know by emailing thegreatcarpush@hotmail.com.

Grab a friend or invite anybody to have a bite to eat at your house or a restaurant after church. The first weekend of every month. This is a great opportunity to make our church local.

We have a small, but dedicated army of prayer warriors that meet every Wednesday morning. This really is the absolute best way to start your day. Even if you can’t stay the whole hour or you don’t feel comfortable praying in public, come along anyway.
> IGNITE: STARTING AGAIN ON THE 7th AUGUST
Ignite is our course that focuses on the fundamentals of Christianity and we start again this Thursday with Ian Wilson teaching on “The History and Role of the Church”. Get here at 7pm and grab some dinner from the café before it starts.
> NEW PEOPLE’S NIGHT – 7TH AUGUST @ 7:30PM

Youth on a Friday night is back on again for term 3, transport from Cockburn Central now leaves at 7pm from Cockburn, you can arrive from 6.30pm at Cockburn. Pick up time has not changed 9.30pm from Cockburn Central. If you need more info email adamm@riverviewchurch.com

Year 7's are going to Youth at the Burswood Campus - 7pm start, 9pm finish,on the 8th August. It’s a great opportunity to introduce our Year 7's to the wonderful world of Youth Ministry, Fun, Food and Friends, Cool Worship, Hangout time and Great message.
