This month at Riverview is all about Decision Making.  There is no better time to make decisions than at the start of a brand new year.  I like this quote from William A Ward…

Four steps to achievement: Plan purposefully. Prepare prayerfully. Proceed positively. Pursue persistently.

Let’s not be afraid this year to set some audacious goals.  Our God can do so much more than we can possibly imagine.

PRAYER MEETING: WEDNESDAY MORNINGS @ 7:30AM
Why not commit this year to seeking God more through prayer?  We are here every Wednesday morning, rain, hail or shine and everyone is welcome.

RIVERVIEW TOGETHER: 8TH FEB
All campuses will be coming together for Sunday night church in the park.  Keep an eye out for Church News for more details.

ACCELERATE: 5TH FEB @ 7:30PM
Starts again in 2009 in just a few short weeks.  We will be running every Thursday night this year with a combination of teaching from our Accelerate team and DVD presentations.

Church is meant to be a celebration.  I don’t know about you but Adam and I have done plenty of celebrating over Christmas and New Years.  Have you ever noticed that when you invite people to a party one of the first things they say when they get there is, “is there anything I can do?”.  It’s the same here at Cockburn.  Every Sunday is a celebration and if you’re wondering, “what can I do?” let me know (dalem@riverviewchurch.com.au).

CLEANING
We are in need of someone to help out with cleaning our building midweek.  If you’ve got a couple of hours to spare and you can handle a vacuum then please contact Hilary .

SAFETY TEAM
As part of our Service Team’s area we are looking for some people to join a Safety Team Roster.  This role would entail patrolling the building and car parks during the service.  If you are interested please contact Adam.

KIDZ CHURCH REOPENS: 18TH JANUARY
Our fabulous children’s workers will be back on deck on the 18th of January.  Woohoo!!!

VOLUNTEERS: ORIENTATION
Sharon will be running an orientation night at the end of the month for all people who are interested in volunteering in our Children’s Ministry.  For more information contact Sharon.

YOUTH: 6TH FEB
Riverview’s youth program will kick off again at the Burswood campus on the 6th Feb.
