Firstly we have some sad news to announce.  Adam and I will be finishing up at Riverview at the end of the month.  We will be moving in a couple of months to help head up a missionary outreach in Vanuatu.  We don’t know as yet who will be replacing us but we will let you know as soon as we do…Just kidding!  April Fools!  Sorry, couldn’t resist, although some of you might have been excited by that news and now you’re disappointed.  Apologies to you also.

Anyway, onto more serious matters - let’s take a look at what’s happening around here in April.

Oh, but before we do, we just wanted to let you know that we have secured 75 parking bays at Costa Logistics that we are able to use now on Sundays starting the 12th April.  This means no more playing chicken on Hammond Rd to get to church.  Costa Logistics is opposite Tony Ales on the corner of Hammond and Cooper Road.

HERTIME DAYS: THIS THURSDAY, 2nd APRIL @ 10AM
Bring your mum, your best friend, and your neighbour this Thursday morning.  The cost is a gold coin donation for entry, $2.50 for childcare and $2.50 for morning tea.

PARTNERSHIP NIGHT: 30TH APRIL @ 7:30PM

PRAYER MEETING: 7:30AM EVERY WEDNESDAY MORNING
Come and join us for a powerful hour of prayer for our church and our city.  Also, if you have a prayer need please let us know.

MENS BREAKFAST: 28th APRIL @ 7AM
Well the first breakfast went off with a bang and you do not want to miss the second.  There’s food, coffee and a speaker and a prompt 8am finish.  The cost is $10.  Register and pay at the Info Desk on Sunday.

CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER: 1ST MAY @ 7:30PM
One of our lovely Cockburn ladies, Diana, is having an Emma Page Jewellery party to raise money for our Children’s Foundation.  For more information or to RSVP please contact Diana.

CLEANING: COME AND JOIN OUR CLEANING ROSTER
If you are handy with a duster and a vaccuum then we need you.  We are looking for some able bodied people who have some time available during the week to join our cleaning roster.  If you could commit some time to this incredibly worthy cause we would greatly appreaciate it.  If you are interested please contact Hilary.

KIDZCHURCH ADMIN PERSON NEEDED
If you like the idea of Children’s Ministry but you don’t want to get close to the kids then this volunteer role has your name all over it.  We need some more volunteers to help out with the Administration of Kidzchurch on a Sunday.  There will be a desk between you and the children at all times so theres nothing to worry about.  For more info, contact Sharon.

RIVERVIEW COMMUNITY VISITORS SCHEME
A big, huge, ginormous thankyou to those of you who signed up for the CVS program the other Sunday.  Lorna and Donna were blown away by the response here at Cockburn.  If you don’t know what the CVS program is, it is a program run through Community Services that facilitates volunteers visiting those in aged care homes. Please contact Lorna if you’re interested in 'adopting a grandparent.' www.riverview.org.au.

PEANUT ALLERGY REMINDER
Just wanted to remind you all to please not let your children consume Peanut Butter or any nut products before or after the service.  We do have a child who attends Cockburn who has an extremely severe peanut allergy.   More information is available from the KidzChurch rooms.
